Director of Design Review

Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all architectural design functions across major development projects. This role is responsible for shaping the architectural vision, ensuring alignment with master plans, and embedding global best practices in sustainability, innovation, and design excellence. Acting as a key advisor to senior leadership, the Executive Director drives quality, consistency, and compliance across all stages of design delivery, while managing senior consultants, design managers, and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve world-class outcomes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Extensive executive-level experience in architectural design leadership, with a proven track record in directing large-scale, complex developments.
Skills: Strong executive leadership, stakeholder management, and expertise in design governance, urban planning frameworks, and organisational strategy.

- Provide executive leadership and direction for architectural design across multiple large-scale projects.
- Establish and oversee design policies, frameworks, and standards to ensure global best practices in quality and sustainability.
- Lead engagement with senior stakeholders, government authorities, and strategic partners to align design outputs with regulatory frameworks and national development objectives.
- Oversee and evaluate high-level design submissions to ensure alignment with strategic vision, master plans, and business goals.
- Guide and mentor senior design leaders and managers to build organisational capability and ensure design excellence.
- Drive integration of architecture with engineering, urban planning, and delivery teams to ensure feasible and innovative solutions.
- Represent the organisation in external forums, promoting architectural innovation, sustainability, and design leadership.
- Manage executive-level risk assessment and decision-making regarding complex design and planning challenges.
- Ensure accountability across consultants and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
