Job Description

Provide strategic leadership and governance over the organisation’s end-to-end tendering process. This role ensures compliance, transparency, and competitiveness in vendor selection while aligning tendering activities with procurement strategy and business objectives. The Executive Director drives improvements in tendering efficiency, oversees committee processes, and manages stakeholder engagement to ensure best value outcomes and robust governance across all tender activities.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Procurement Management (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Extensive executive leadership experience in tendering, procurement governance, or project administration.
Skills: Executive leadership, governance, stakeholder engagement, and process optimisation.

Responsibilities

- Define and oversee tendering governance policies, processes, and standards.
- Provide executive-level leadership for the full tender lifecycle, from initiation to award.
- Oversee preparation and approval of tender documentation, including scopes, evaluation criteria, and instructions.
- Lead cross-departmental coordination to ensure timely and accurate tender submissions.
- Oversee tender committee processes, ensuring transparent evaluations and documentation of outcomes.
- Ensure tender records are maintained in an audit-ready, compliant state.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to reduce tender cycle times and enhance bid quality.
- Represent the organisation in executive-level supplier and stakeholder engagements.
- Mentor and develop senior tender management professionals to build organisational capability.
