Claims Management Director

Provide strategic leadership and governance over all contractual claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes across large-scale projects. This role ensures organizational interests are protected by overseeing claims strategies, compliance with contracts, and proactive risk management. The Executive Director works closely with senior stakeholders, project directors, and legal advisors to resolve disputes, mitigate risks, and establish best practices in claims management and contract negotiations.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Extensive leadership experience in claims management, contract administration, or dispute resolution within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Skills: Executive leadership, dispute resolution, contract negotiation, and claims governance.

- Define and lead claims management strategies, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Provide executive oversight on contract negotiations, variations, and dispute resolution.
- Review and approve high-value claim submissions, ensuring compliance with contracts and entitlement justifications.
- Collaborate with senior legal and project leadership to resolve disputes effectively.
- Oversee maintenance of the organisational claims register, ensuring transparency and audit readiness.
- Monitor trends and recurring contractual issues, recommending process improvements.
- Mentor senior claims leaders and build organisational capability in claims governance.
- Represent the organisation in executive discussions, arbitrations, and negotiations with stakeholders and contractors.
